Work-Study Scholarship Application

We believe serious students should have access to serious training. If cost is a barrier, our work-study program offers a path to attend a workshop in exchange for meaningful contribution to the school.

To apply for the Wabi Sabi School for Japanese Craft scholarship confirm your eligibility and understand the rules below, then fill out and submit your application.

  • This is not a handout. It is an exchange. Work-study participants assist with setup, cleanup, material preparation, organization, and other essential tasks that keep the school running smoothly. In return, we reduce or waive tuition so you can take part in the workshop.

  • We are a nonprofit educational organization, not a charity. We are looking for dependable, hardworking individuals willing to contribute fully to the community.

  • If you are able to afford tuition, we ask that you register normally and help preserve these opportunities for someone who truly cannot.

  • Limited work-study positions are awarded on a rolling basis and are contingent upon available space. Awards will be issued 2 weeks prior to the start of the workshop.
